PCM provide Technical Support Services for Electrical Installations across a range of social landlord and private clients. We also provide third party quality control audits across a range of services including, electrical installations, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting systems, door entry systems and warden call systems.
Due to expansion and development, we have a vacancy for a qualified, experienced and motivated Electrical Safety Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be working for a well-respected consultancy management company, as part of our friendly team delivering comprehensive services to all our clients.
Your role
To undertake electrical inspections to assess the condition of the installations and the performance of the incumbent contractor to ensure fulfilment of the electrical contract is implemented on behalf of the client.
As a mobile inspector your daily responsibilities include carrying out quality control Inspection to ensure the clients specifications are fulfilled with the following work streams:
- On site audits of domestic dwellings and communal areas,
- Post inspection surveys to new installations and repairs,
- Desktop quality control inspection of electrical test certificates/reports,
- Asset surveys and site meetings.
The successful candidates should have:
- A time served electrical apprenticeship with relevant qualifications and hold C&G 2391 certificate or equivalent and C&G 2382-18 certificate
- Sound knowledge of BS7671 past and current addition together with a good all-round knowledge of electrical installations.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the electrical industry (following initial training)
- Good report writing skills
- Competent Microsoft Word and Excel skills and be familiar with working on a tablet or iPad
- A full clean driving license
You will be provided with:
- A company van and fuel card

The position carries a 20-day holiday entitlement January – December (pro-rata). Three days compulsory to be used between Christmas and new year. The holiday will be increased by 5 days upon 1 years service.
