MBDA Missile Systems - Deliver for a more secure tomorrow

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Product Assurance Engineer to join the Product Assurance Engineering team as they provide professional quality support to the Manufacturing team in the UK.
Product Assurance Engineers are a critical role to the business, working directly alongside the engineering, operations and programs functions as well as all other areas of the business to enable the efficient delivery of products to our customer. What we’re looking for
  • Ideally qualified to minimum HNC/HND in relevant subject.
  • Quality professional, experienced in process-based integrated management systems & business improvement in an engineering / manufacturing environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • Proven understanding and experience of non-conformance practises.
  • Knowledge and experience of EN9100/AS9100
  • Good planning and organising skills to ensure multiple tasks are prioritised and monitored to deliver set objectives
  • Capability to identify sustainable business improvements & ensure effective implementation
  • Recognise and understand internal and external customer requirements, and respond to them
  • Highly self-motivated and demonstrate a determination and persistence to deliver results despite obstacles and setbacks
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to run reports in both Microsoft Excel and SAP QM Systems tools.
  • Prior experience of Lean and practical problem solving techniques such as 8D, LSS, 5Why and 3C
  • Position is based in Bolton, but may require regular provision of support to Manufacturing at other MBDA sites, including Stevenage and Henlow
  • Travel (both UK and international) will be required.
