Systems Engineer - Smart Buildings
Salary: £50,870 - £62,643 per annum

Reporting to the Principal Comms and Control Systems Engineer within the IHSE Design Authority, this post will focus on the provision of management and security assurance for, the building services networks and systems used in Parliament.
The post holder will work closely with complementary posts and will concentrate on core delivery over the short to medium term.
Due to the essential association with the wider organisation of both Houses, the post holder is expected to foster a culture of achieving business excellence, high customer service and professional standards, compliance with statutory regulations and legislation, as well as providing best practice support and guidance.
- Qualified Cyber Professional (CISSP, CISM, CISA) with proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating exposure to managing relationship with suppliers and consultants on the client-side. Demonstrable knowledge of risk management with the emphasis on cyber security risks, projects delivery and competence of operating in a complex stakeholder environment. Knowledge of the current NCSC guidance on cyber security and CIS controls with the emphasis on public sector.
- Experience in working with building services networking devices and networked systems, knowledge of how common protocols work and experience working with infrastructure security devices. Working with SIEM/agent monitoring tools, correlating logs and using analytical techniques to perform investigations. Able to Identify indicators of compromise and translate them into rules which detect other threats across the network, in a variety of different ways.
- Demonstrate experience of working with, and management of, industrial networks, control systems and equipment suppliers, taking account and ownership of building services systems requirements. Experience of non-standard architectures developed for or used in the automation industry.
