Senior Systems Engineers
Location: Reading / Basingstoke Area
£42,650 - £60,000 dependent on experience

Our Senior Systems Engineers provide a pivotal role in delivering systems engineering solutions across a variety of projects. You may be involved in supporting the delivery of our product throughout its lifecycle or helping to guide our major capital build/re-kit projects which underpin and enable the crucial work we do at AWE.
In growing our capability across these areas, we will also be looking to shape your skills and knowledge as an Engineer with opportunities for development and progression across our programmes of work including the opportunity for overseas travel and secondments, once restrictions are lifted, for those who are interested.
We are interested in hearing from skilled engineers who have a working knowledge of applying systems engineering and systems thinking to mechanical, electronic, safety, security or nuclear projects and are interested in developing their career with us.
Ideally you will have demonstrable experience of working as part of a wider Systems Engineering team on multi-disciplined projects (which could be weapons based) and have experience in steering the delivery of one or more of the following areas:
Requirements engineering
System architectures
System integration
Verification and validation
System analysis and modelling
Trade Studies and Options Analysis
To be considered for the role, you will have an HNC / HND or higher qualification in an engineering discipline or extensive proven experience working in a similar environment. You should be an effective communicator with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and have the ability to balance / prioritise your work around programme and technical requirements.
All candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas.
