MBDA Missile Systems - Deliver for a more secure tomorrow

Salary: Up to £50k (DOE), paid overtime, bonus + excellent benefits

Full and Part time working considered

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Actuation Systems Centre of Excellence New Business Team for a Mechanical Design Engineer to manage the mechanical design aspects of new bids and our internal research and development work. You will be working for the New Business Design Authority to develop bids and design concepts in response to the business needs.

What we’re looking for
  • Ideally Degree/HND/HNC qualified plus significant post qualification experience in Mechanical Design, development and qualification/certification.
  • Good planning skills and the ability to have multiple activities running concurrently.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders across the business.
  • Experience of electro mechanical mechanism design is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience of the early phases of product lifecycle and bidding activities is an advantage but not essential.
