WHAT TO EXPECT
Vehicle Personalisation is one pillar of the Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations division responsible for developing the strategy, product and process to deliver outstanding personalisation options for our customers. The Project Engineering role is based in the VP Engineering responsible for a diverse group of accessories within the Interior CoC. Commodity groups range from interior protection (mats, covers, liners), functional (tablet holders, convenience accessories), safety (child seats, barriers), pet products, trim personalisation and many more.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse commodity group, in a fast-paced environment, providing exposure to several manufacturing technologies and supplier groups. The CoC works across most JLR products, generating significant revenue and margin for the business. Self-motivated, dynamic engineers, who enjoy working on multiple commodities and programmes will be best suited for this role.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
You will be expected to liaise with Programme and Design teams in the initial development stages to develop concepts and take them through to launch. As well as this, you will be responsible for ESO and PSW and the development of RFQ Cost Packs and support sourcing.
You will need to generate Commodity Plans and manage suppliers in line with SLAs, as well as generating IPL Technical and Cost assumptions and manage them throughout the programme. Interior Engineers are expected to also identify technical solutions and suppliers.

Working with the SMEs, Interior Engineers are responsible for understanding the initial requirements for a programme based on the vignette and then developing this into robust technical assumptions, eventually leading to the development and delivery of the commodities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Degree in Engineering or comparable qualification.
Experience in component/system delivery and development of Body and Trim systems.
Knowledge of Digi-Buck / Vis-Mock-up / 3DLive
Good communication and presentation skills to all levels
Knowledge of PCDS and CCDS
Comfortable challenging with strong influencing and engagement skills - able to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
Knowledge of JLR engineering release and change management systems.
Data analysis and PC skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience of problem solving tools and able to lead problem resolution initiatives.
Experienced in WERS, AIMs, RMDV, APQP and PSW processes.
