Role - Environmental Auditor

Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area

Salary: £32,000 - £48,000 (dependent on experience)

You will be required to Conduct or support internal audits in accordance with the agreed audit programme and business requirements.

Successful Candidates will be responsible for:

  • Conducts and supports audits contained within the agreed audit programme to time and quality. Gains agreement to audit findings and follow-up of audit issues and actions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Supports delivery of the overall agreed audit programme.
  • Effective, appropriate and consistent use of the company audit process, tools and templates.
  • Supports the implementation of internal and external auditing best practice.
  • Supports development of initiatives supporting the audit strategy.

Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:

  • A Levels or equivalent demonstrating good standard of education.
  • Focuses audit reviews and outcomes on key business issues.
  • Knowledge of corporate governance approaches and ways of managing common risks to underpin prioritisation of audit activities.
  • Negotiation skills to gain business leader and stakeholder commitment to implementing recommendations.
  • Ability to maintain independence.
  • Membership of IEMA desirable.
