An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior AIT Engineer to join the AIT Group at the Department of Space and Climate Physics (Mullard Space Science Laboratory), University College London (UCL). The post holder will work within the AIT Group to support flight test campaigns for a number of European Space Agency (ESA) space missions. In the first instance the focus will be on the PLATO N-FEE project.

The successful candidate should hold an Engineering HNC/HND or have equivalent experience. A basic understanding of laboratory vacuum systems and cleanroom protocols, experience in FTIR spectroscopy systems and of working in a laboratory environment are essential for this post.

The candidate will have good analytical skills, demonstrated through a methodical approach and attention to detail. They will demonstrate planning effectively so that work is delivered in a timely manner. Building rapport and being comfortable with others across different cultures and backgrounds is also essential.
