Job Details

ABB Power Conditioning in Napier, NZ, manufactures a range of power electronics products, from UPS type equipment, but also including Static Frequency Converters, Battery energy storage systems and more recently Medium Voltage UPS.

Our applications are in Renewables, Shore to Ship power supplies, Power protection (semiconductor and data centre industry) .

All our products are developed and manufactured here in NZ, but sold to all corners of the world.    We start at 300kW up to 3600kW products, so high power 3 phase experience would be advantageous.

The R&D team has grown to 30+ and continues to grow.  We need to strengthen our team with a power electronics engineer and a control systems engineer (Matlab Simulink).

Napier itself is on the east coast of the North Island in NZ.
