The First Hydro Company assets provide the largest source of flexible and reliable electricity capacity in the UK.
With 2088MW of pumped hydro generation capacity across two Power Stations. Our assets are and will continue to be front and centre of the Government’s ambition to bring greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.
We are embarking on an exciting period of major refurbishment at both stations and as a result have opportunities for an Head of EC&I Engineering to join our team.
HEAD OF EC&I ENGINEERING
We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic individual to lead, develop and supervise a team of professional specialist engineers to achieve business requirements. The principal objectives of the role are to create and deliver the discipline asset engineering and maintenance strategy. The role shall ensure the safe operation, engineering integrity and performance of the assets in an efficient and sustainable manner, maximising the commercial benefit within legal requirements.
Candidates should have the following:
- Engineering Degree/Chartered Status or equivalent qualifications/experience
- Extensive experience within an Engineering discipline in the power or allied industry
- Experience of managing complex contracts, having held responsible/budget holder roles in a similar industry
- Significant experience of leading, managing and develop teams
