The role will involve working with an established research centre within the School. The successful candidate will work with, and be responsible to, the designated PI of the project on a day-to-day basis to increase and sustain research activity through assisting in running funded research projects, project supervision and income generation.

You must have a PhD degree in Engineering or business related to digital discipline, plus relevant technical, professional or specialist knowledge in Engineering and IT.  The ability to engage in development of IT related to decarbonisation agenda with AI and ML knowledge is also essential, as is a working knowledge of IT systems design.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and research skills and a proven ability to plan and prioritise research and resources. You will be self-directed, team orientated, and skilled in liaising with a range of collaborators, internally and externally.

The Tees Valley is an enjoyable place to live – in the heart of the North of England’s coastline and countryside, with easy access to Durham, Newcastle and York.
