Job Details
WHAT TO EXPECT
This role is responsible for the definition; development and delivery of harmonised sub-systems solutions in the central compute module, consisting of inputs from multiple interconnected sensor components, into Jaguar Land Rover vehicles for Assisted and Automated Driving.
Sub-System Functional and Non-Functional Analysis - carry out a range of analysis and investigations of the customer requirements to define the expected sub-system functionality and their performance targets.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Delivery of Data-fusion and planning sub-systems within Automated and Assisted Driving across the range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles
Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
Contribute to the delivery of the area onto all programmes, in line with the SubSystems Engineering dicipline outlined by Product Creation Systems
Manage requirements, issues, change requests and validation
Contribute and execute robust test plan for software and subsystem validation, including SIL and MIL testing, and support for the HIL team
Provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of multiple interconnected components including issue resolution and objective data analysis
Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
WHAT YOULL NEED
As the Data Fusion and Planning Engineer youll have Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector on Perception and Situation topics. Youll be highly motivated and self-starting individual with effective leadership skills. Strong organisational, project management and communication skills essential. The Data Fusion and Planning Engineer will have knowledge vehicle electrical architectures and protocols including CAN bus, Flexray, automotive diagnostics and related system development tools (CANalyzer, CANape, diagnostics tools etc.)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Experience in logical, physical system architectures, functional & non functional requirements design
* Understanding of Quality methods
* Experience with real time control systems design
* Experience of component, system and vehicle level issue investigations Experience of Software development and delivery Diagnostic System Strategy & Implementation
* Full driving licence
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
