AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to support the delivery and operational capability of the Trials & Test Technical Centre (3TC) through the delivery and ongoing monitoring of normal business management and associated change programmes expected of a high performing delivery unit.

Location - Reading area

Package - £42,950 - c£64,000pa (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

What will you be responsible for?

  • Collate and report on capability metrics with the Delivery Units, Technology centres & Technical Services
  • Provide the supporting data for the inputs from 3TC into the AWE/ MoD reporting business rhythm
  • Work with the CAM, Principle Capability Specialist and Technical Services to ensure the Operations input into future Rolling Waves is integrated, deliverable and (resource and cost) balanced
  • Ensure that business areas support via the Service Level Agreements (SLA) to maintain the operational staffing capability
  • Integrated working with the Trials Test & Epure (TT&E) Senior Operations Manager and other relevant sub-Function Resource Managers to ensure the correct staffing level is maintained throughout to support delivery.

What will you need to be considered?

  • Experience working outside of core AWE programme
  • Delivery track record (to Quality, Time and Cost)
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Good working knowledge of Excel

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
