AWE has new opportunities for Embedded Hardware/Software Engineers wishing to specialise in the design, development, verification, and validation of high reliability/high consequence devices within a diverse R&D environment.
Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Reading / Basingstoke Area (office based)
Salary: £33,850 - £50,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Supporting the work of our Warhead Engineering team, this role will give you the chance to grow your skills and knowledge as an Engineer with opportunities for development and progression across our programmes of work.
To be considered for the role, you must have an HNC / HND or higher qualification in an engineering discipline or proven experience working in a similar environment and possess strong communication skills.
Additional requirements include:
Knowledge of at least one high level programming language
Proven experience designing digital system in Verilog or VHDL
Hardware design verification and validation using Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) and System Verilog
Experience designing digital electronic circuits
Proven experience of using standard communications protocols (e.g. UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)
A working knowledge of systems, requirements and verification engineering
Knowledge of safety critical software design principles.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
