WHAT TO EXPECT

We are looking for a Lead Software Integration Engineer within the Software Group in Assisted and Automated Driving, this is critical for delivering AAD technologies across multiple presents and future Model Years.

The Integration Team is organized as an agile team specialized in integrating software components in complex systems, ensuring software is configured correctly, and building and automated regression testing is performed regularly, accurately and provides good visibility to project stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

* The creation, maintenance and optimisation of mainline software development to ensure optimum performance based on developer throughput, verification performance and infrastructure speed
* Delivery of software and sub-systems within ADAS across the range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles
* Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
* Contribute to the delivery of the area onto all programmes, in line with the Jaguar Land Rover Engineering discipline outlined by Product Creation Systems and the Software Delivery Process through robust delivery of commodity-driven software
* Provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of multiple interconnected components including issue resolution and objective data analysis
* Supporting the development of projects through the V model, PCS Milestone Plan and Electrical Processes
* Implementation of technology, design, demonstrators, models and validation strategies
* Engagement with supplier base for the AAD implementations including budget planning and forecast
* Engagement with key project stakeholders around the business to gather requirements, development and integration


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

* Integrate Software Components into a working baseline
* Configuration, execution and maintenance of a continuous integration toolchain
* Deliver Supplier and internal Software Binary Integration into software deployment pipelines
* Deliver Software Application Build Releases. Release Management of preliminary and production of releases builds with supporting documentation
* Enforces standards and procedures across the development lifecycle in the areas of software integration and testing and ensures that practitioners adhere to them
* Contributes to decisions about tools & methods and support the integration product owner in planning work
* Conducts tests as per the integration test strategy, recording details of failures, and carries out fault diagnosis
* Supervise the system integration, system testing, and assessment of the performance and functionality vs specifications. Continuously improving the accuracy and coverage of the project management methods
* Designed, configured, and implemented build systems, infrastructure and environments for Continuous Integration Services applications


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential -

* Good relevant experience of working in a Commodity Delivery and Software Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector
* Model Based Language expertise - SysML
* PCDS and Engineering Delivery Frameworks
* Requirements Management (RM)
* Good verbal and written communications
* Previous experience of releasing ASPICE Compliant Software
* Run time and MISRA violation analysis experience
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
* Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance
* Full driving licence
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred


Desirable -

* Multiple Software Language skills in C, C+, Python
* Experience in Automotive Engineering Delivery and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach
* Experience on below toolchain CANape, CAN analyzer, Control Desk, Corvus, ECU Diagnostics, Polyspace, Track32
* Experience in IBM Rational RTC and IBM Rational Rhapsody toolsets for requirements and issue tracking
* Experience in IBM Rational DOORS
