The Role

The role of Property Strategy Manager is to lead workstreams to successfully examine, define and implement the optimum property strategy for our non-manufacturing sites in the UK, creating a pipeline of Property solutions which best respond to functional/customer and business strategies and requirements.
This role also undertakes the study of external workplace environment and experience to identify future trends and industry predictions and consider this alongside internal direction of flow, in the evolving definition of our future workplace experience at our sites.

With business wide exposure, this role will provide excellent customer experience to internal and external customers and build and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities


* Responsible for the creation and development of strategies for our core UK non-manufacturing sites which deliver effective Property solutions to functional and business requirements
* Lead activity with the Property Managers for UK Corporate Real Estate and Property Projects to create Master Planning and site development frameworks/plans for UK non-manufacturing sites
* Work autonomously and cross-functionally to deliver the answers to specific questions, making clear and concise recommendations and work with the Property Managers for UK Corporate Real Estate and Property Projects to ensure initiatives are delivered in an efficient, coordinated and seamless manner
* Lead the development of business cases to initiate projects required within the delivery of the strategies, along with preparation and presentation of the business cases where required to support progression
* Examine, analyse and monitor the current and future industry movements / developments to identify key trends likely to impact the future of the workplace environment and advise the business on how best to effectively support employee attraction, retention and workplace experience.
* Prepare, deliver and present updates to support Property strategy briefing at a variety of events, presentations, governance and approval forums etc.
* Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested


Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential

* Skilful in influencing key decisions based on the macro picture you will hold in the strategy team
* Proven ability to manage external service providers
* Strong leadership, management and networking skills
* Be able to create and maintain strong rapport with business leaders and senior directors
* Talent for finding innovative ways of solving or pre-empting problems
* Proficient communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work positively and credibly with a wide range of individuals involved in the creation of effective strategies
* Good understanding of budgeting and business planning processes
* Ability to use data and analytics to support the development of strategic solutions including use of Tableau / dashboards etc.


Experience

* Experience in a similar strategy creation role
* Experience of collaborative cross functional team working
* Proven ability to analyse, create and present robust strategic reports
* Strong project management skills and experience is required
* Advanced experience in MS Office suite: Word, PowerPoint and Excel and experience of Google tools
* Relevant degree and/or professional qualification e.g., APM, RICS, SPP


Desirable

* Experience of working in property strategy in the automotive sector or elsewhere
* Previous experience of future market analysis
* Previous experience in the managing and developing a team
