Do you enjoy a challenge? Do you thrive in an environment where you are both encouraged and empowered to push the boundaries of technology? Are you excited by the prospect of working as part of a World Championship winning team?

We are looking for creative, curious and tenacious engineers to join our team as we push to further develop and improve our World Championship winning Power Unit, to prepare for the next exciting regulation change in Formula 1, and to accelerate exciting new technologies that will define the future of electrification with Mercedes-Benz.

HPP’s Formula One Power Unit engineers are developing the current Power Unit to maximise on track performance and reliability, hungrier than ever to win Formula One races and World Championships with our works team Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One. In parallel, our team is in the very early stages of developing the exciting next generation Power Units that will be bounded by the future technical regulations.

Our recently formed Advanced Technology business is thriving. Working alongside the Formula One team, Advanced Technology has the mission to drive innovations that will help define the future for Mercedes-Benz electrification, exemplifying motorsport ambition and pace. This team has most recently been responsible for the hardware and software for the Battery, Battery Management System and Power Electronics for the ground breaking VISION EQXX, and is nearing production for the hugely ambitious Project ONE Hypercar.

More exciting, ambitious and highly confidential projects are already underway, with a healthy pipeline of future projects under discussion.

In the coming weeks and months we are looking for the following roles to enable us to continue our electrification projects and motorsport ambitions in 2022 and beyond:

  • Mechanical Engineers
  • Software Engineers
  • Electronics Engineers

We expect you to be enthusiastic, innovative, creative and tenacious, with outstanding attention to detail and good communication skills. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer an excellent benefits package including a generous non-contributory pension, a Mercedes lease car scheme, an individual and collective bonus, 36 days annual holiday, private healthcare, subsidised onsite restaurant, onsite gym, plus partner discounts and offers.

Not only do we provide a generous benefits package, but we also hugely value the importance of developing our people. We support our employees with their professional membership fees, provide ample training opportunities and more recently have launched a Future Potential Team Leader programme in conjunction with Loughborough University.

We have permanent and contract opportunities available immediately, with more coming up in the future. If you’re interested, please visit our website via the Apply button where you will find a more detailed job description.

Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains are based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire at the purpose-built Mercedes-Benz Technology Centre and we are all passionate about Power Units!

A team of over 500 people are responsible for the complete design, manufacture and testing of Formula 1 Power Units for our works team MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS as well as for Aston Martin F1, McLaren Racing and Williams F1.

We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz AG, the inventor of the automobile, one of the biggest producers of premium cars and the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz has a rich motorsport history: competing in the first motor race in 1894, in Formula One in 1954 and 1955, returning to supply engines from 1994 onwards and more recently becoming a dominant force with the works team, the modern Silver Arrows. Maintaining such a racing heritage is both a privilege and a responsibility and we take great pride in continuing the tradition.
