WHAT TO EXPECT

This opportunity is to join our Electric Charging team which is playing an integral role in Jaguar Land Rover's Electrification strategy. The charging system comprises of the Charging Station, the Charge Inlet and associated interfaces, the AC and DC bi-directional charging systems, interfaces with vehicle control units such as the battery and driver inputs and displays.

We are looking for a Charging System Manager to be responsible for the systems design and feature development of the high voltage charging system. You will be involved in the system coordination of charging activities, resolution of technical challenges and provide support to a number of programme delivery tasks. You will be accountable for the design and delivery of the charging experience for our customers for both next generation and current product - a unique opportunity to shape our customer experience and perception of our vehicles.

You will play an active role in charging feature development, charging attribute evolution, co-authorship of specification documents, the application of relevant standards, and functional and durability testing pertaining to charging performance.

You will oversee a multi-disciplinary technical team and your team will be involved in a wide variety of charging projects including but not limited to; Wired Charging, Smart Charging, Plug and Charge, Convenience Charging and ‘Vehicle-to-‘ related projects.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

As a Charging System Manager you will have significant knowledge and practical experience of the design of charging systems and features. You should be aware of the challenges posed when integrating charging system into vehicle production systems.

This role will play an active part in the shaping and transformation of our charging team so any experience driving change and transforming an electronics team will be seen as highly desirable. This role will have a strategic element to it so an ability to think long term and work with cross-functional teams will also be seen as desirable for the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:
* Demonstrable project management, leadership and planning skills preferably leading a team of cross functional engineers
* Knowledge of model based systems engineering
* Significant knowledge and experience of charging systems including design, component specification and assembly
* Proven delivery of customer features and product (SW or HW)
* Experience of defining and decomposing complex systems

Desirable:
* Aware of the ISO15118 standard and how it is used within a charging team
* Experience driving organisational change and transformation
* Experience of agile ways of working (scrum)
* ASPICE and ISO26262 practitioner
