AWE have an exciting new opportunity for a recent graduate to join their Construction Engineering team. Construction Engineer

Location: Aldermaston, Berkshire

Salary: £26,500 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Along with this, you will also:

  • Help maintain Construction function digital systems, records, repositories and registers to sustain compliance

  • Have strategic oversight of the construction central key deliverables and outputs to support organisational readiness and delivery of construction

  • Help develop/produce the AWE construction management policy, procedures and standards (safety & operational)

  • Support the management of expenditure and procurement, associated to the construction management overhead and training budgets

  • Collate, analyse, monitor and present technical data/information

  • Support and provide technical expertise to the functions subject matter experts (CDM, Work at Height, Temporary Works, Excavations) and Leadership team

What will you need to be considered?

  • Degree 'Hons' (or approaching completion) in an Engineering or Construction Management Build discipline

  • General appreciation of planning and working within a team to produce processes, standards and safe systems of work

  • Analytically/technically minded, with good problem-solving skills

  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to interact at all levels

  • Competent in composing and critiquing technical reports/documentation and in presenting technical data

  • High computer literacy skills. Competent in Microsoft packages (advanced excel/spreadsheet skills desirable)

  • An awareness/appreciation of environment, safety, health, Construction Design and Management (CDM), security and quality driven practices/policy - Training will be availed to uplift competency

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas.
