WHAT TO EXPECT
The person in this role will have the responsibility of leading the design and development of harmonised thermal systems solutions. System design responsibility will include the integration of multiple interconnected components and all system interfaces for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles products.
The person, as part of the advanced thermal fluids group, is required to design and develop refrigerant based thermal system technologies from core architectural designs into specific vehicle programmes. This role will require the necessary expertise, competence using methods defined by core thermal fluid group to integrate to vehicle architectures.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You will need experience or an understanding of vehicle electrical and SW control systemsoo as well as a relevant experience working in a Systems Engineering environment eg. Model-based Systems Engineering, SysML using tools (eg. IBM Rhapsody). You will need experience or awareness in Control system design methods and tools eg. Matlab Simulink and have experience using tools for network analysis, controls calibration and data acquisition tools. Eg. Canalyzer, INCA, Ipetronik.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience in refrigeration and thermodynamics
* Experience and knowledge in cooling system thermodynamics.
* Experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, component and systems integration, system verification and validation.
* Requirements Management (eg. IBM DOORS) · Analytical and problem solving skills using tools (eg. DFMEA, 8D)
