· Location - Reading area

· Package - £25,800 - £38,700 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

AWE seeks highly skilled, proactive Precision Machinists to help drive our Manufacturing Capability to the next level.

· Are you an experienced programmer of CNC Machines?

· Have you served a recognised Apprenticeship or completed an NVQ level 2?

· Do you have a passion for Engineering and strive to be the best?

· Are you a highly motivated individual with a "Can Do" attitude?

If so, we are currently recruiting for Precision Machinists to work in our brand new, state of the art, temperature-controlled Manufacturing Facility. This facility is home to a suite of new 5-Axis Milling Machines and Lathes with live tooling, and both include Machine probing, these provide the perfect complement to our existing capability.

Responsibilities will be to programme, set and run CNC machines to produce precision components. Manufacturing of associated tooling and basic inspection of parts will be required.

To be successful, you will have a recognised apprenticeship in machining i.e. a relevant city and guilds / NVQ. You will also have experience of programming and running CNC lathes and Mills and manual machines, knowledge of basic inspection techniques, experience of working with a wide range of materials and problem solving.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
