Senior Civil Structural Engineer

You'll be playing a central role, creating spaces and places that matter. We've been in the sector for over 50 years and delivered over seven million work-hours, which makes us the most prominent nuclear new-build organisation in the UK. In this highly technical role, you'll work end-to-end on a broad range of projects with plenty of opportunities to grow and challenge yourself.

Your purpose:

Do you possess exceptional interpersonal skills and are eager to work on exciting projects in the nuclear sector? If yes, we want to hear from you.

You will support a wide range of nuclear projects (from Hinkley Point C to fusion research projects).

You will get to work closely with our clients, completing site secondments or bidding, and delivering projects in-house. This is an exciting time in the nuclear industry with first-of-its-kind, industry-leading projects like Hinkley Point C due to start commissioning soon, along with Sizewell C and other Net Zero and nuclear projects in the pipeline.

We are also closely involved in the nuclear generation and decommissioning markets. We focus on maintenance and life extension of existing generating power stations and the safe dismantling of redundant power stations.

What you can bring?

Are you a chartered engineer with a recognised institution looking to further your engineering expertise? Can you lead projects that require a strong technical base, stakeholder engagement skills and a drive to collaborate with clients and colleagues? Do you have an inquisitive mind and the ability to challenge and investigate in different situations?

You will need:

• An appropriate level of relevant industrial experience, technical leadership, engineering management and project delivery.
• Work collaboratively from our office and across our client sites to understand clients’ needs and deliver to time, cost and quality.
• Confidently work in highly regulated environments, such as nuclear.
• Inspect or appraise existing concrete, steelwork and masonry structures.
• The ability to lead validation of structural modifications to existing structures.
• Line management experience.
