It's a great time to join the Project Controls function at AWE as an experienced Project Planner.

Location: Reading /Basingstoke area

Salary: £35,000 - £65,000

Our Project Planners work within the Project Controls teams across the business on a broad spectrum of projects, ranging from site maintenance, highly technical scientific and engineering trials and analysis, to major capital construction and refurbishment projects, all within some of the most tightly regulated environments possible. The level of complexity along with the unique aspects of the projects contribute to the high level of satisfaction felt by our planners and project control teams as they support something that is truly exceptional. Planners at AWE support delivery of the complete planning capability within the business by maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Whilst supporting the Task Manager with business rhythms, schedule integrity, network analysis, Earned Value and communications with the programme and business teams.


We are looking to recruit Project Planners and are interested in hearing from candidates from a variety of industry sectors who may be at different stages of their planning career.


You will have:

  • A good understanding of project management

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to read and interpret charts and spreadsheets

  • Knowledge or experience of using best practice planning processes and tools

  • Primavera P6 experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Earned Value Management processes and procedures

  • Knowledge and understanding of confidence modelling processes and techniques
