Job Title: Software Engineering Project Lead

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: Up to £62,200 depending on skills and experience

Referral Scheme Bonus: £500

What you'll be doing:

    Working together with the Engineering Project Manager(s) to ensure that the project deliverables are on time, to budget and are of suitable qualitySupporting proposal writing, costing and biddingCreating Engineering, Management, Resource and Performance Reporting PlansPlanning to execute the delivery against those estimatesTracking progress and reporting progress against the planSupporting continuous improvement in engineering capability in terms of people, processes, tools and technology

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

    An understanding of the software lifecycleExperienced in creating proposals, costing and biddingCompetent user of typical computer applications and engineering toolsAbility to carry out engineering planning and Costing: forecasting, setting objectives, action planning, administering policies, establishing procedures, resource and cost estimating.

Desirable

    An understanding of software systems and applicationsExperienced managing the delivery of software projects to the MilitaryKnowledge of agile scrum techniques

The Maritime team: You will be working with tactical systems, mission systems and managing the team dependant on the projects. Tactical data links and mission planning are the main projects and comms between ships and synthetic training and models of aircraft and submarines. This role will provide you with the opportunity to interact with a number of internal customers and work around agile minded people.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to expand your skills and liaise with our military customers to develop solutions and people.
