Role Summary

The role of the Product Implementation Engineer is to provide the critical skills necessary to implement, integrate, upgrade, administer, support and extend BAE Systems’ in-house suite of products.   They take ownership of one or more areas of delivery within Analysis and Design phases, Refreshes, Implementations and Upgrades.

We are looking for a dynamic professional who enjoys working in a fast paced organisation. The ideal candidate should be a fast learner and be able to work independently.  They should be a proactive problem solver and have the ability to understand design and translate them to workable software by applying the configuration knowledge on the product.

  Responsibilities:

•Participates in the technical workshops with clients during the initiation and definition stages of change requests

•Support the NetReveal managed services team by documenting functional, technical, architecture and data management requirements

•Create the development environment mirroring the hardware and software stack of existing environments (hosted on Amazon Web Services)

•Deploy NetReveal application releases onto the Client facing service environments (hosted on Amazon Web Services)

•Technical Consultants will configure the NetReveal product as defined in the design document

•Be responsible for the management of source control on the project or work with the release manager on the project to allow for source and version control, you must be aware and follow the processes outlined

•Trouble-shoots environmental issues that arise in the course of deploying/configuring software

•Perform data management and unit testing Support the services QA team by delivering test defects and clarify test plans and cases

•Support the client through SIT, UAT, performance and security testing phases

•Perform packaging of solution, document installation instruction/notes and perform package deployment 

•Identify improvements to our software, processes or supporting documentation

•Provide the highest level of support and are available for escalation of any technical problems that might occur on the managed service.

•Mentor and train the AI Technical Consultant

Key Skill Requirements:

•Candidate must have minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a similar role

•Experience working in a technical trouble shooting environment

•Previous knowledge of installing software, creating test environments

•Good knowledge of SQL and in-depth experience of Databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server or Postgres

•Good knowledge of application servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, JBoss

•Basic knowledge in AWS such as EC2, RDS, S3 , Cloud formation , Route 53, Cloud Watch etc .

•Good knowledge of Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux, HP UX)

•Some previous technical consultancy experience

•Exposure and familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC)

•Experience working in an Agile environment

•Strong technical trouble shooting skills and aptitude

•Demonstrate flexibility and ability to take the initiative on issues

•Effective and efficient decision making ability – prioritizing, time management, etc.

•Experience on Shell scripting

Preferred but NOT mandatory:

•Working knowledge of the functionality of one or more core NetReveal modules OR any other Compliance or RegTech product (such as ETL, Builder, Visualizer, Live, Model Builder, scenario manager and Watchlist Manager)

•Basic knowledge of Java and J2EE architectures

•AWS Certifications such as AWS Developer or SysOps.  Don’t have these…? No problem, we’ll support your certification
