The role

The Faculty of Engineering is seeking someone with a sound working knowledge of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. You will join a diverse team of technical specialists that support students and academic staff in the design and delivery of Electrical and Electronic teaching and project work.

What will you be doing?

You will work within the Teaching Technologist Team to shape, and assist delivery in, the way the Faculty supports students’ project-based learning and their experiences in developing new technologies. You will work in partnership with leading academics to encourage and enable exciting teaching practices. Importantly, the TT will exercise initiative and pragmatism to help bring ambitious ideas to life.

You will support students’ curricular projects by providing encouragement, technical advice and specialist tooling. This is a demanding and varied role, and your day-to-day activities may include: Advising students on component selection and application; researching, prototyping and building cutting-edge teaching tools; being a main point of contact within the specialised project spaces; managing and maintaining resources associated with innovative teaching; working with academics and Technical Services team members to improve the student experience.
