WHAT TO EXPECT

To provide an exceptional driving experience, every chassis component needs be honed to perfection. Including Vehicle Dynamics, Suspension Systems, Compliant Mounts, Wheels and Tyres.

The role is as a pivotal member of the Dynamics validation team, being responsible for the process, documenting and assessment of every aspect of a vehicles' Steering, Ride and Handling / Stability. Ensuring that this is performed, analysed and reported correctly.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

* Working in close collaboration with the Dynamics & Stability Validation Engineers & Dynamics & Stability Validation Lead, DDPL, Chassis Motion & Control Systems. Ensuring processes are appropriate for both current and new programmes, responsible for identifying if new components/concepts are contained within existing processes. Inputs into target performances are essential.
* Responsibility for ensuring processes and TPJLRs, STJLR's are filed and maintained effectively and ensuring that Dynamics & Stability test documents are robust when interrogated.
* A focus on developing efficiencies in test programme complexity, considering subjective and objective manoeuvres.
* Is capable of clearly defining problems (With the DSV Lead) and effective in supporting the team resolution.
* Is expected to acknowledge ‘state of the art' techniques in whole vehicle Dynamics and Stability assessment and to support associated advancements in virtual vehicle test capability.

Knowledge, Skills and experience

Essential:
* Methodical detailed approach to work context
* Previous experience in a similar role in Vehicle tuning with a track record of delivery
* Analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base
* Ability to present complex data & issues to a varied audience
* Experience of Problem Resolution using structured approaches
* Ability to manage risks and issues
* Negotiation and adaptability skills
* A solid understanding of managing people effectively through change and the change process
* Fundamental understanding of Vehicle Dynamics


Desirable:
* Experience of process mapping / process improvement
* Training and Facilitation Skills
* Relationship management skills, influencing and stakeholder communication skills, both written and verbal
* Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges
* Experience with the Product Owner role.
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
