WHAT TO EXPECT

This is an exciting opportunity to work in our design team as a Senior Digital 3D Artist using CAS.

CAS (Creative Aesthetics and Surface development) - Digital Design is a highly creative department working within the virtual world that provides high level 3D digital solution to 2D ideation.

The developed digital concept provides the support for virtual and physical properties used for presentation material in achieving design gateways, Board Reviews and other various high level Design reviews throughout the wider business.

Key Performance Indicators:
* Accurate interpretation of 2D ideation, whilst aligning engineering capacity
* Reduce the need for physical property creating high quality digital properties
* Greater volumes of design proposals delivered in shorter periods, digital evaluation
* Greater integrity with detailed data, prior to expense of physical property
* Support of evaluating more efficient toolsets, accurate measurement of appraisal
* Organised master dataset for relevant programme deliverable promoting efficient workflows
* Captured data releases, recording documentation for ease of location and transparency
* Managing/Mentor/coaching of individuals, promoting high quality education amongst the team


WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

* Working within the virtual world, must have the ability to interpret 2D sketch into 3D digital form whilst maintaining a creative mindset, delivering high quality design assets using Surface development tools
* The ability to understand and replicate scan data with the same creative approach
* The use of visualisation software to present and promote the ideation
* Working within a team, have the ability to work in a transparent and professional manner, supporting all design disciplines, whilst maintaining a flexible, pro-active approach
* Have the ability to liaise with all levels throughout design, across all disciplines, in order to deliver the require concepts
* Experience in the creative process within the design studio environment, maximising the effect on the required design assets
* Provide a visual stimulus of the developed design solution
* Pro-actively look into new Technology (software/hardware)
* Apply common sense at all times seeking the time and cost-effective methods of achieving the design intent to a ‘fit for purpose' standard for reviews within given timelines i.e. programme gateways
* Self-initiated and motivated to deliver customer requirement in a pro-active manner
* Interact with key disciplines to achieve the required deliverable
* Lead Programme data reviews in support of Gateway/Milestone Deliverables
* Attend design program discussions advising on process and deliverables when necessary
* Lead a small team supporting relevant program deliverable
* Manage master datasets
* Manage Distribution of workload within the team
* Manage supporting Programme Trackers and BOMs, updating documentation as required
* Coaching of other team members
* Ability to manage reporting individuals
* Comply with all Company policy and procedures


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:
* Must have the ability to interpret 2D sketch into 3D digital form
* Experience in the creation of Digital concepts through surface development that represents design intent
* Experience in the following software: Alias, VRED, Photoshop and Microsoft Office software and other surface development tools.
* Knowledge of Design processes within a Design studio environment
* Good PC skills
* Manage workload and timings
* Manage Master Datasets organising workload distribution amongst the team


Desirable:
* Knowledge of other digital surface development and visualisation software
* Polygon type modelling techniques and software (Alias Sub D)
