The UK Atomic Weapons Establishment is embarking on a Replacement Nuclear Warhead programme, to ensure the UK continuous at sea deterrent.

To enable the successful delivery of this programme, we are seeking a Handover Manager who can manage, organise and control Handover activities on a portfolio of Projects or single Capital Project.

Location: Reading / Basingstoke area

Package: £42,650 - £65,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Working closely with the Project team, you will play a pivotal role in the handover of a variety of projects in line with BSRIA soft-landing principals. It will require you to foster key stakeholder relationships with both internal and external customers to keep them informed of project status and any issues that may impact completion.

Though not to be considered a check list, we will be looking for candidates to demonstrate:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline or have proven experience working in a similar environment

  • Experience delivering nuclear or conventional projects to BSRIA soft-landing principals

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams

  • Relevant experience in a project delivery role ideally with MOD or other Government Organisation

  • An awareness of supply chain methodologies

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas. Experience working in a nuclear environment under licence conditions is desirable but not essential. Some UK and overseas travel maybe required once restrictions are lifted.
