Clinical Engineer

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has a vacancy for an enthusiastic person to work in a group providing maintenance and repair to over 50,000 medical devices to stringent quality standards.

This post requires the successful candidate to have a methodical approach with attention to detail which is vital to ensure the safe maintenance, calibration and repair of medical devices.

You should be able to demonstrate a practical aptitude with good hand eye coordination to enable fine adjustments to delicate medical equipment to be carried out and be able to work as a member of a multidiscipline team.

This service is provided to this Trust and throughout the Sheffield area and also extends outside the area to patient’s homes.

If you’re a trainee Clinical Engineer on AfC band 4, you may be considered if you meet the training specification. Please also note if appointed to the training post, applicants will start at AfC Band 4 and upon completion of necessary skills and/ or training will progress to AfC Band 5.
