Electronics Technician/Engineer
Salary: £31,931 to £34,709 (dependent on skills and experience). A Specialist Allowance of up to £4000 per annum is also available for this role.
Hours: Full Time.
Contract Type: Open Ended.

Discover the science your skills can enable by bringing your engineering experience to our ISIS Neutron and Muon Source. At this world-leading scientific research centre, each problem requires a unique solution, taking advantage of the latest technologies. Our engineers and technicians are encouraged to share, develop and input new or novel solutions.
Working as an Electronics Engineer/Technician at this facility, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a vast range of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide electronic and electrical support to the ISIS Linac section, through the provision of fast and effective fault diagnosis and repair.
- Support the design and manufacture of custom pieces of equipment that enhance and enable the accelerator to perform reliably.
- Be responsible for specific areas within our equipment maintenance programme.
We are looking for someone with:
- HNC qualification or above, or equivalent experience, in Electronic Engineering.
- Good range of technical experience outside of academia, such as electronics design work, fault finding skills, test, and repair work.
- Creative and adaptive approach to problem solving as shown through previous work and achievements.
- Excellent communications skills.
