Designing, implementing, and verifying complex signal processing techniques and algorithmic modelling for enhancing capabilities of current in-service and next generation radarUnderstanding and decomposing user requirements to sub-system levels of requirementsSpecifying and managing interfaces with external systems and sub-systemsAssessing system performance against requirementsArticulating, both verbal and written, technical aspects in support of customer workshops, design reviews and acceptanceExecuting design activities in an Agile manner using SCRUM framework and SprintsLiaising with both internal and external organisations where requiredTaking ownership for delivery of activities whilst engaging and communicating with the engineering teamProviding technical mentoring of junior members of the systems team
Your skills and experiences:Essential skills:
Degree in Engineering or Numerate subject (technology, engineering, or science related discipline) or equivalent experienceDemonstrable knowledge and experience in design, implementation, and verification of complex Signal Processing algorithmsExperience of using MATLAB or equivalent programming paradigms. Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink would be advantageousExperience in using a Requirements Management tool throughout the engineering life cycleExperienced across the engineering lifecycle and associated process reviews
Experienced in use of DOORSKnowledge and/or experience in Model Based EngineeringAwareness of development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role within a development team by undertaking technical activities across the breadth of the engineering life cycle and design maintenance tasks with a strong aspect of various elements of system modelling in respect of both new products and technology insertion into legacy products. This role will provide you with the opportunity to become an active member of a supportive and very capable 100-strong systems engineering community, working on next generation NCTR capability.
