Job Details

First Hydro Company operates two pumped storage power stations in the Snowdonia area of North Wales. The Dinorwig and Ffestiniog plants have provided large scale energy storage to support the UK’s electricity requirements for a generation.

First Hydro Company is now investing in a major refurbishment/replanting programme at both stations. We are looking for experienced C&I Engineers to join a dynamic engineering team for undertaking this exciting phase of work.

The main duties will include, the delivery of projects safely to time, budget and quality, leading fault finding and commissioning of C&I equipment and providing technical and safety recommendations for long and short term integrity/ refurbishment of C&I equipment and systems.

You will have technical knowledge and experience of PLC/SCADA/HMI systems and automation software i.e Rockwell Controllogix, FactoryTalk software suite, together with good IT interfacing skills and a strong appreciation for cyber security with experience of implementing OT networks and systems.

You should already be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a control and instrumentation related subject and possess the skills and experience commensurate with achieving Chartered Engineer status.
