Salary: up to £65,000 based on experience + bonus scheme

The Survivability Domain Lead is accountable for the Survivability performance of MBDA's next generation strike capability. You will be responsible for establishing the Customer (UK & FR) Survivability requirements and developing the system design in a rapid development environment to produce a solution that satisfies all stakeholders.

You will be comfortable interacting across multiple design areas in a very large multi-national programme allowing the development of core influencing and negotiation skills. You will grow a team to support you and there is scope to build a broader capability within the company for this emerging skill set.

You will lead the Survivability Working Group on behalf of MBDA, establishing an open and productive working relationship with the customer community and key stakeholders.

What can you bring to the role?

Broad systems engineering background across the product lifecycle, with experience of conducting systems design studies and assessing performance.

Ability to develop requirements and design assurance strategies collaboratively with partners.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact both technically and programmatically with customers, technical experts, equipment teams, senior management and engineering partners.

Survivability related knowledge in any of the following skill areas:
  • Signature control and low observability
  • Threat detection and response tactics
  • Mission routing and mission management techniques

Broader engineering management experience is welcome, particularly gained through leadership of work packages, integration of complex activities or, managing technical relationships with customers or suppliers.
