Salary: £31,428 plus, depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

You will support current application support staff delivering established services, whilst learning and gaining experience to develop into a more senior support role. You will be exposed to the below elements of an IT support position.

• Application account management
• Application/End User Support
• Application updates, testing & deployment
• Application developments
• Software and hardware fault finding
• Process development

Your skills and experiences:

Essentials:

• HNC/HND in IT related discipline or equivalent proven experience
• Experience of a fast paced manufacturing/support environment
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

Desirables:

• Experience in service management
• Experience of Aerospace toolsets
• Have an understanding of IT infrastructure

The IM & T team:

Working as an App Support Engineer within the Engineering Systems Competency Centre (ESCC) as part of the IM & T Team, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on various BAE programmes. The role is varied and encompasses a wide range of information technology-related activities across multiple engineering applications and BAE Systems Air programmes. This is a junior position that requires someone who is eager to learn, proactive, diligent, and a capable team player to help discharge work to a high standard in a fast-paced environment. Through a defined development plan, you will have the opportunity to progress your career into a senior support role.
