"This is an opportunity for a driven individual to head up and lead a multi-disciplined engineering team where you will be able to help drive and shape the decommissioning journey at Hinkley Point A. You will manage the team to ensure that sites waste retrieval and processing plant remains reliable, efficient and compliant and help to drive strategic solutions for its long-term operation."
Please note that this role is known as Head of High Active Waste Systems Engineering.
Key Deliverables
- Prioritise the allocation of engineering resources to meet statutory, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements.
- Monitor and develop individual performance and group capability, taking action as required.
- Provide specialist engineering advice in your own area of expertise.
- Manage the delivery of fit for purpose engineering solutions to support the sites decommissioning programme.
- Undertake delegated responsibility of Design Authority as required (S-157).
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of Engineering Management within an industrial plant environment or other appropriate technical area (essential).
- A Degree in Engineering or relevant subject, NQF level 6 (essential).
- Chartered Engineer status (essential).
- Previous experience of working within the Civil Nuclear Industry or a highly regulated industrial environment (desired).

Please be aware this role holder requires security clearance, or the ability to obtain said clearance.
There is a requirement to live within a commutable distance to the sites where the role is based. For central/multi-site roles, we have various hubs across the UK and can be flexible with base location.
