Job description:

WHAT TO EXPECT:

To enable Jaguar Land Rover to meet future sales volumes and customer delivery expectations, in this unprecedented era of global supply chain disruption, our Enterprise needs live, accurate & precise insights derived from our data on which to make decisions in this highly dynamic period. It is critical that we have access to these insights at all times and shift our approach from insight generation based on offline / batch data analysis to online / live data insights.

The newly forming Supply Chain Reporting & Insights Team is responsible for providing analytics and actionable insight to the Supply Chain Planning team, in the context of the wider Industrial Operations Function. This Reporting & Insights team will seek to support the relevant supply chain, purchasing and manufacturing teams in determining supply chain best practise and optimise issues such as inventory turn & dwell (sub-component, tier 1 & finished vehicle) at each of the stages along the E2E supply chain to maximise supply performance to meet current demand. The focus of the team is to work with all teams to provide a holistic journey both in terms of providing the analytics to help set rules to optimise the plan, make & buy value creation stage but also guide on the reporting technology required to support this. This opportunity is for a newly created Manager role within the newly forming Supply Chain Reporting & Insights team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will see you support development of the initial Supply Chain Management Information System (MIS), using existing data available in the Google Cloud (GC) environment by identifying additional data assets required to rapidly expand the use of the Supply Chain MIS platform. You will help to source new data sets to expand quality and completeness of data assets and establish processes required to ensure day to day BAU MIS operations run seamlessly maintaining all existing data sets.

Working with key stakeholders you will drive report usage and identify improvements to add incremental value. You will be expected to capture additional business problems and develop solutions to support business decision making and drive continuous improvement through automation and data quality checks.

You will be involved with creating dashboards and insight to help drive business improvement across the E2E supply chain, from supplier Tier through to end customer.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

We are looking for an individual who is able to apply analytical rigour to drive operational plans. You will be structured, organised and disciplined in approach who thrives on cadence & rhythm with an ability to deliver with urgency in ambiguous situations; not afraid to act with only partial facts in hand. Someone with an understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and their functioning in day-to-day would be an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Strong academic background with track record of delivering benefits from exploiting data assets
* Clear examples of problem-solving skills
* Advanced level of SQL and excellent knowledge of Google Big Query
* Knowledge of GCP IAM administration and UI knowledge
* Experience of building ETL and data pipelines using orchestration tools
* Experience in managing version control of code and associated tools eg GITHUB
* Excellent experience of Tableau and SAP Business Objects (incl. Information Design Tool)
* Good knowledge of Datawarehouse concepts
* Other useful tools include knowledge of: JIRA, RStudio, Python
* Management of technical teams
* Sprint Agile Methodology experience
