Most of our work is ‘full stack’ development using Java-based cloud and big data technologies, utilising the latest agile methodologies. Many of our projects have machine learning, AI and cyber aspects, to broaden your skills still further.

Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience:

  • We are looking for people who have achieved or are on target to attain a relevant degree, such as software engineering or computer science.
  • You must have strong interest in software, computing, online security and cyber ethics and have written code in Java, JavaScript, C++ and/or Python. In addition, you will understand the software lifecycle and enjoy a challenge.
  • UK Residency: Before you start with Northrop Grumman, you’ll need to complete BPSS clearance. We’ll then require you to achieve and maintain one of the highest levels of UK Government clearance which is a rigorous process. This means you will need to be a British citizen and have lived in the UK for the last ten years and not travelled abroad for continuous periods of more than six months. You will need to hold the right to work and live in the UK indefinitely – we are not able to support visa applications.
