You’ll predominately be working within Sussex and Kent but with opportunities to travel wider.

You’ll lead on various projects within high voltage electricity substations, supervising team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to ensure completion of maintenance, refurbishment or replacement works on a variety of plant and equipment including circuit breakers, transformers and protection systems. 

You’ll be the safety system expert issuing all safety documentation, producing or reviewing all risk assessments and method statements. Setting up a safe system of work for all contractors as appointed Temporary Works Coordinator as defined in CDM regs. (We will train you to be Senior Authorised Person SAP)

Qualifications, skills and knowledge required
•    Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical engineering and recognised apprenticeship.
•    Field based working in the Electricity Supply Industry - High Voltage plant and equipment.
•    Formal training in CDM, Risk Assessment and Method Statements.
•    Be available for standby rota providing reactive call outs.
•    Current full UK Driving Licence.

Pay and benefits

•    Starting salary of £43,010 to £50,000 pa + Benefits + Paid Overtime + Stanby Allowance + Company car
•    37 Hours per week Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.
•    25 days annual leave (increasing to 26 after two years’ service) plus 8 statutory days. 
•    The option to buy additional or sell holiday days.
