Systems Integration Engineer

Job description:

WHAT TO EXPECT

This role is responsible to lead the definition; development and delivery of harmonised systems solutions, consisting of multiple interconnected components, into Jaguar Land Rover vehicles for Body Engineering

The team work across all architectures / programmes and nameplates, the prime focus will be driving the integration of the nameplates on the Electrified Modular Architecture

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

* Delivery of systems within Body/Chassis across the range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles
* Understand interdependencies of Body Chassis Commodities and Systems and develop balanced technical solutions.
* Accurate records management / issue control of engineering data in a fast-paced environment.
* Support technical alignment of Body Chassis Systems within programmes to deliver attribute and cost targets
* Work with the Body Chassis functions to ensure Technical Benchmarking supports delivery of world class products to quality, cost and time
* Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Knowledge, Skills and experience

Essential:
* Self-starter with high levels of drive
* Good communication skills
* Analytical Approach
* A confident individual who is comfortable working in a multidisciplined team
* Expert user of the 21x toolset
* Good mechatronic engineering understanding and able to make the link between engineering solutions and cost /weight / attribute / Design.
* good understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints
* Experience of component and system development through the Concept phase of PCDS
* Able to understand and work with both Section and 3D Geometry
* Willing to develop tools / techniques and process / approach as the business transitions into an Agile way of working.
* IT Literate

Desirable:
* Engineering Degree preferred
* Experience of the manufacturing environment, processes / constraints / design for Manufacture
* Six Sigma Green Belt Qualified
* Understanding of the Design (Studio Engineering) Creative Process
