We’re driving the move to Net Zero. One of the key milestones on our journey is the delivery of 50GW of offshore wind by 2030. We’re looking for 12 talented engineers to help us do this. 

You’ll join an Industry leading, individually tailored and intense training programme to take you through our safety authorisations. Once you have the necessary safety authorisations in place you’ll progress to becoming a Substation Engineer in our East Anglia region. You’ll lead on various projects within high voltage electricity substations, supervising team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to ensure completion of maintenance, refurbishment or replacement works on a variety of plant and equipment including circuit breakers, transformers and protection systems. 

Your development and training will continue, you will be surrounded by a fantastic team of experienced and professional Engineers that will support your development and progression every step of the way, with the aim of becoming a Commissioning Engineer, and eventually an Advanced Commissioning Engineer. 

What are the requirements?
Your minimum qualification is a Level 3 in Electrical Engineering. You are experienced and technically proficient in power systems theory; our tailored training programmes will be adapted to suit your level of experience. Substation experience would be desirable but not essential. You have a driving licence that permits you to drive in the UK. You'll have the ability to train at our Innovation Centre in Deeside, Flintshire and be available for standby rota providing reactive call outs.

Stage 2 – Telephone Interviews (December) 
Stage 3 – F2F interview on-site (December)  
Stage 4 – Feedback or Offers (December) 
Stage 5 – Background checks

Pay and Benefits

Substation Engineer £43,010 to £50,000 pa + Benefits + Paid Overtime + Standby Allowance + Company car.
Commissioning Engineers – up to £56,979 pa + Benefits + Paid Overtime + Standby Allowance + Company car – you must have held a HV Commissioning Authorisation.
•    37 Hours per week Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.
•    25 days annual leave (increasing to 26 after two years’ service) plus 8 statutory days. 
•    The option to buy additional or sell holiday days. 
•    Generous contributory pension scheme - we will double-match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. Overall 18%.
