MBDA Missile Systems - Together. For the future of defence

Salary: Up to £48,000 depending on experience + Bonus & Benefits

Hybrid working pattern: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working

An opportunity has arisen to join a trials team conducting the electrical/electronic/software integration of missile and launcher subsystems. To achieve flight clearance for development firing trials and overall System Qualification we have an iterative programme of lab based testing and proving to demonstrate the functionality of the weapon subsystems against customer and scenario driven Use Cases.

The programme packs in multiple phases to support integration of the weapon system in different configurations to underpin development firing trials, multiple platform integration programmes and concurrent proving of different product variants.

This role develops a broad and deep understanding of the functional design of the system and how it is tested to prove it against the technical requirements.
What we're looking for
The role would suit a team worker, a confident individual with enough knowledge of electrical and electronic integration to be able to dynamically support the teams to achieve a challenging programme providing the evidence to support air worthiness and performance certification. The candidate should enjoy identifying problems or opportunities for improvement, working resolutions with other teams and sharing knowledge and best practice that raises the whole team.

Experience / knowledge required:- Understanding of technical interface documentation and test methodologies e.g. 1553, practical experience using commercial lab equipment and of data analysis tools and methods. Ideally (but not essential) experience or interest in python (or similar) scripting.

What's in it for you?

An opportunity to make a significant input into the Integration and development of a key new Air Launched Weapon System for the UK Customer.

The role provides an ideal opportunity to grow a detailed understanding of ‘Systems of Systems' and to build on lab test, data analysis and test architecture knowledge and experience.

Candidates with a keen interest in MBSE will benefit from seeing how the principles can be applied through to evidence generation and certification.

The role is equipment proving based, involving equipment and/or data up to UK Secret so must be conducted on the Stevenage site.

What to expect:

We offer opportunities for career progression, paid overtime (subject to level), bonus scheme, comprehensive pension package, annual salary review, collaborative working environment and excellent on-site facilities.

We recognise that everyone is unique, and we encourage you to speak to us should you require any advice, support or adjustments throughout our recruitment process. We also welcome applicants who are looking for flexible working arrangements.
