First Hydro Company operates two pumped storage power stations in the stunning Snowdonia area of North Wales. The Dinorwig and Ffestiniog power stations  have provided large scale energy storage to support the UK’s electricity requirements for a generation.

First Hydro Company is now investing in a major refurbishment/replanting programme at both stations to secure our long term future. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Maintenance Manager to direct and manage a busy maintenance department.

The main duties will include, managing a multi disciplined team, establishing and delivering the maintenance strategy, analysing and reporting performance of our assets across both sites.  You will also be First Hydro’s point of contact for ENGIE‘s European Fleet Management in relation to plant maintenance .

You will be able to demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in power plant maintenance, engineering and operations.  Be able to deal with complex situations, have strong demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. 

You should already hold an Engineering degree or equivalent qualification with substantial O&M experience in a power station or an equivalent production environment .  Possess Chartered Engineer status or  are working towards.
