Mechanical Engineering Functional Resource Manager

Salary: Up to £60K dependent on experience + bonus + benefits

Hybrid working pattern: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Functional Resource Manager to play a leading role in supporting Mechanical Engineering (ME) UK to meet its resourcing challenges in 2023 and beyond.

Working closely with our Group and Sector Leads you will lead in the recruitment of our permanent and flexible workforce.

You will primarily develop and deliver a co-ordinated recruitment plan for all skills, coordinate the role vacancies, participate in candidate selection and interviews and develop our on-boarding process.

Ideally, you will have experience of working within an engineering role, involving people management and/or recruitment activities. Most of all, you will be passionate about finding the right people and delivering on our resourcing challenges this year and beyond.

Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff Mechanical Engineering, this role will be part of the ME Functional Management team and may include supporting other activities such as workload forecasting, Environmental Social Governance, Dynamic Working, office working environment and international collaboration.

What we're looking for from you:

• Ideally Degree/HND/HNC Qualified in an engineering subject and ideally experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience of people / team management
• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to influence across levels and stakeholders
• Ideal but not essential experience of engineering recruitment.
