About The Role

We are proud of the mission critical systems that we build for our customers and we support them in getting the most from Digital Transformation. This may mean building new systems or improving the integration of existing applications to improve Customer Experience. We are looking for a Technical Lead to link between the business requirements and the development team - someone who can elaborate customer requirements and create solution designs, communicate the designs across the development team, and provide support and assurance to developers as they implement those designs.

The Technical Lead is a vital and exciting role within the team. You will find yourself with a set of responsibilities spanning both Software Engineering and Solution Design/Architecture. Along with strong software engineering skills, you will have had some exposure to undertaking solution design/ architecture.

You will collaborate with the engineering teams at a technical level, prioritise tech debts and bring them into grooming session supporting prioritisation with the Product Manager. You will also be able to advise on industry best practice and maintains an architecture roadmaps and support the development team by providing low-level elaboration of new features.

Using your excellent communication skills, you will represent the application and its architectures and product board and with client Architects. Summarise technical jargon and considerations to client business and product stakeholders.

About You

You will have software engineering/ development experience (ideally full-stack) across technologies including: Java, Linux and SQL; additionally, knowledge of any of JavaScript, Scala, Nifi, AWS / Azure, Docker, Kubernetes etc would be an advantage

In Addition You Will Bring

  • Experience designing and elaborating customer requirements. Reviewing high level requirements (Epics, Tech Debts) with the customer and team to create the architecture and provide a solution
  • Experience providing assurance that the solution developed adheres to the design specification
  • Ability to support and coach development team through complex technical challenges.
  • Experience working in DevOps model, a product backlog and Agile ways of working
  • Experience with Application Architecture - Design and Assurance


A willingness and ability to undergo SC Clearane is a requirement.
