About the Role

Base Location: Flexible UK & Ireland, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.

Salary: Up to £66,100 / €93,300 depending on skills and experience + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

SSER's Power to X Team has overall responsibility for creating and leading the development and delivery of SSERs Power to X business, with the vision of creating a future technology pillar for SSER. They are primarily responsible for developing and implementing a global business strategy in an exciting evolving market, while establishing SSER as a global leader in PtX.

Reporting to the Head of Origination, you'll be accountable for originating new strategic offtakers for green hydrogen and it's derivatives, through sourcing highly credible offtake partners that will underpin the business case for our exciting first of a kind PtX developments.

Some of your other main accountabilities will include;

- Being a subject matter expert in the benefits and trends of hydrogen fuel switching in high potential offtake industries.

- Leading desktop research and deep dives of high potential market sectors to always stay current with market trends in pricing, contract terms and conditions.

- Cultivating and extending our network of key stakeholders along the hydrogen value chain, approach potential customers and representing our business on trade fairs and conferences.

- Developing trusted business relationships with major industrial hydrogen off takers, understanding how hydrogen fits in their decarbonisation journey, their strategy and needs to create fit for purpose proposals and propositions from available supply options.

- Recruit, lead, motivate and mentor your team of originators/analysts including setting work priorities, providing direction and day to day management.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Demonstrable commercial B2B experience including deal origination, sales and trading & supply.

- Knowledge of hydrogen or industrial gases markets, including an understanding of and affinity for green hydrogen (derivatives) value chain.

- An understanding of industrial gas usage, such as chemical, refineries, aviation and maritime.

- The ability to quickly build credibility with key stakeholders and maintain strong strategic partnerships.

- Experience in developing commercial structures to support business opportunity.
