About the Role

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key Irish or UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow or Perth.

We're looking for a number of pro-active enthusiastic individuals with an eye for detail to join our offshore development team and help us excel.

- You'll be a self-starter, comfortable operating in the uncertain landscape of early development projects, have an ability to "read the energy contest" and play to win.

- You'll lead some of SSE's early stage offshore development projects (predominantly in Ireland, but also internationally), taking responsibility for all elements of the projects, refining them in order to secure seabed, submit consent applications and secure subsidy arrangements.

- Initially, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and as projects progress, you'll be responsible for a team of up to 10 direct and indirect reports, with management responsibility for significant external works packages delivered by multiple external contractors.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Degree qualification, with experience in Offshore and/or Renewables.

- An ability to lead and motivate a team of multi-disciplined individuals, setting clear goals and objectives.

- An ability to interpret and manage multiple projects and/or business requirements simultaneously.

- Self-motivation and a drive to achieve deadlines and goals.

- A "can do" attitude.
