Due to our expanding success, we are now seeking a self-driven and highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer to join our forward thinking, successful electronic manufacturing company based in Wembley, Northwest London (NW10).

Organisational responsibility & location:
Based at our Wembley site, you will be responsible for daily quality control activity within a busy electronics assembly area. In addition, you will in cooperation with others develop and maintain the Company Quality Management System and provide knowledge and skills to promote a positive quality culture in the workplace.
Principle responsibilities:
- Actively drive improvements in shopfloor quality through the implementation of formal procedures based on best practice.
- To effectively manage and maintain the sample approval process.
- Carry out internal audits and support purchasing with supplier audits.
- Monitor and support performance improvement through data capture and reporting, including management review meetings.
- Define shopfloor processes and procedures in conjunction with operational teams.
- Cooperate with purchasing team to establish supplier quality performance criteria and monitor supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001.
- Investigation and reporting of non-conformances.
- Investigation and reporting of Customer Complaints.
- Co-ordinate and control equipment calibration.
- Carry out quality meetings which include documenting quality issues and providing feedback.
- Identify new processes and equipment to streamline production and provide cost reductions.
- To monitor and control local quality training within the department and factory.
- Support correspondence with Clients / Customers requiring Company information.
- Quality induction material/training to all new employees.
- Abide by the Legrand Core Values and Code of Ethics and strive to meet and exceed the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments.
- Provide support in the investigation and analysis of customer returns.
- Report the status of technical related debit notes to Management.
- Design and/or modification of QMS documents.
- Identify critical components and criteria and with support from colleagues develop and implement an effective GII system.
- In cooperation with colleagues ensure product UL compliance and requirements are met.
Skills Profile:
The successful candidate must:
- Have proven experience in modern electronics assembly environment and techniques including wave soldering, manual soldering, AOI methods, surface mount and THT techniques.
- Understand of fault finding on PCBs and assemblies.
- Be familiar with best practice in storage, movement and handling of electronics components, assemblies, and finished products.
- Have strong time management skills and excellent and attention to details.
- Be responsible, trustworthy, with a high standard of accuracy. Have good communication skills clearly at all levels of the organisation.
- Be analytical and numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving skills.
- Be driven with the ability to plan and deliver to meet project deadlines.
- Have commercial and financial awareness.
- Have experience of working in a busy environment with proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Have good interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining working relationships.
- Be able to analyse complex situations and give balanced well considered decisions. Support, motivate and strive to get the best out of each team member.
- Have a good level of English
- Have good IT skills and be familiar with MS Office packages
