About the Role

Base Location: Slough

Salary: £47,872 - £55,653 + car / car allowance and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: 18-month Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available

We have an opportunity for a Streetworks Manager to join our team in Slough!

As a Streetworks Manager you will support our teams across the Thames Valley Region to safely deliver essential works on our electricity network in a way that minimises disruption to our communities.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that around 4,000 streetworks per year are delivered efficiently and are safe and compliant.

Roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Build and maintain a very good collaborative working relationship with the highways teams in the 18 local authority areas in which our teams carry out streetworks, allowing us to carry out essential works for our customers whilst reducing the impact on local communities.

- Working with others to ensure that both our internal teams and contract partners are delivering safe and compliant works in accordance with any permit requirements.

- Lead a small team of streetworks coordinators to deliver great performance against our key streetworks KPIs and to provide information to regional managers on their teams' streetworks performance.

- Working with others to ensure that our works are delivered efficiently and that permits are open for the minimum amount of time, seeking to minimise the number of extension requests submitted to local authorities.

- As a key leader in the regional Performance and Improvement team, you will seek opportunities to improve safety, reduce cost, and improve the service to our customers.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- The ability to lead a team and build a strong network where you can influence peers and front-line staff to deliver great performance.

- A good understanding of streetworks and health and safety legislation and its practical application in streetworks.

- Good IT skills, with an existing capability to use Microsoft Office effectively and the ability to learn new software packages as required.

- The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to build a strong relationship with external stakeholders.

- The ability to make good decisions quickly and under pressure - many our streetworks are delivered reactively after faults on our network.
