About the Role

Base Location: Flexible Republic of Ireland with easy access to the projects in your portfolio

Salary: €86,000 - €129,000 depending on skills and experience + performance related bonus + car allowance + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

What is the role?

Reporting to the Head of Development for Ireland, the Portfolio Project Manager (PPM) role is a key and senior role within the Onshore Development and Construction Team of SSE Renewables (SSER).

Some of your main accountabilities will include;

- Progressing a portfolio of projects through development from origination to a Final Investment Decision.

- Supporting SSER's technological diversification agenda with a view of augmenting the baseline onshore wind propositions with complementary and co-located technologies such as solar, BESS and PtX where feasible.

- Leading and managing a team of direct reports and indirect reports; building a motivated, capable, agile, inclusive and diverse team who can adapt to changing market conditions and business requirements.

- Be the first point of contact for Co-development partners, ensuring the smooth running of partnership arrangements.

- Ensuring all development activities are conducted to the best in class safety and environmental standards, whilst championing SSER's safety licence - 'If it's not safe, we don't do it'.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

Extensive project management experience in the renewables sector and/or in the development of large capital projects, with good understanding of the planning, policy and regulation frameworks in the renewables industry.

- A proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing a portfolio of projects concurrently together with line management experience.

- Development experience from origination to Final Investment Decision.

- Knowledge in financial modelling and experience in Due Diligence assessments.

- Excellent stakeholder management experience, both internal and external across varying levels of seniority.
